PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Computer speakers have made great leaps in sound quality, with some setups capable of replacing much larger, pricier speakers in a home media system. And while many of these are high-powered, thumpin' speaker systems with tons of bass and crisp highs, they are not particularly well suited for monitoring in a recording environment. Pure monitor speakers, while much more true to the original recording, are not well-suited for general music and movie sound. M-Audio seeks to bridge the gap between multimedia and studio with the Studiophile LX-4 monitor system. Today, I'll be pointing my ears to the base 2.1 setup. Let's see how they stack up. (The speakers, not my ears.)
